Comments(0) The new Macbook Pro’s that were announced by Apple on Oct. 14 finally hit the employee purchase program that Apple offers to their employees. It took about 3 weeks for both the Macbook and the Macbook Pro to show up, letting employees use their discount. I asked my contact at Apple to order one for me with their great discount (not telling how much), and I will give a thourough review of the Macbook Pro when it arrives. Read more »
Comments(0) Apple, in their sacred 1 Infinite Loop Hall, announced new laptops today. They sent out invitations with their cryptic message, “The Spotlight Turns to Notebooks.” Of course, the invitation was regarding announcements to their already great notebook line.

Comments(0) Apple has formally issued invitations for a special event that will take place on September 9th — one week from today — to usher in a new family of iPod digital music players.
The invites, one of which was obtained by ArsTechnica, feature the iconic iPod silouette along with the tagline “Let’s Rock.”
Apple has scheduled the event to take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10:00 a.m. local time next Tuesday.
The invites confirm reports of a September 9th event originally waged by Digg founder Kevin Rose. The appearance and wording of the digital documents also suggest the event will be music focused and not serve as a forum for new Mac notebooks, as was recently suggested by AppleInsider, which will come later.

This is a video time lapse of how a guy swapped the hard drive disk of his current Macbook Pro with a 320 GB beast. It’s gonna cost you around 40 minutes for the first timers. Hopefully it will be easier when the new Macbook Pros come out with easy access HDD slots.

Comments(0) As the WWDC keynote Steve Jobs is giving, more speculation, more leaks, and more rumors. Just what an Apple Fanboy needs. The firmware was supposedly leaked and many tech sites such as Engadget has covered the story. They dug deep into the firmware finding a few things that may be likely to pop up on Monday. GPS and Tri-Band HSDPA? Hmm!!! That GPS feature that has been highly rumored is very likely to be in the next iteration of the iPhone.

I predict, new iPhone with 3G access, and new Macbook / Macbook Pros with a different design and Centrino 2 chipset. I think the laptops will just be announced but not available until later on in June. We shall see!
