Logitech G9 Laser Mouse Review

May 13th, 2009  |  588 views | Published in Comprehensive Review, Electronics, Technology

After a Logitech G7 crapped out on me last month, I called Logitech tech support to see if they could fix it.  There was nothing that they could do and they said they could do an RMA and send a replacement.  They said, unfortunately, they don’t have any G7s in stock.  I could either wait for them to be back in stock or I could get either the G9 Laser or the MX Revolution.  As a gamer, I opted for the G9 Laser.  I didn’t even need to send anything in, just a fax of the proof of purchase (receipt), and I was done!

A week later, the G9 arrived and I was drooling over it, after having used a Logitech VX Nano (notebook mouse), which cramped my hands after long usage. Read the rest of this entry »

Comprehensive Review: Logitech VX Revolution Mouse

February 14th, 2009  |  1,111 views | Published in Comprehensive Review

I know many of you know my love and fanboyness for Logitech mice, and there is only one reason for it.  They work so damn well!  Ever since 2000, I have owned a Logitech mouse, and so far, none have failed on me.  I used to own a few of the optical wired Logitech mice, a Media Play Logitech mouse, an MX-518, MX600, and MX1000.  I currently only run one other Logitech Mouse for gaming, which is the Wireless Laser G7 Mouse.  So during my mouse buying frenzy, I decided to pick up a notebook mouse, one that is small enough that could fit in my briefcase without having it protrude but also one that is comfortable for my big hands to hold on to.  I needed this notebook mouse for my travels that can go along with my Macbook Pro, so the mouse had to be Mac OS X compatible (not that all USB mice aren’t but lack support of binding extra buttons). Got a New Mac? Get the Essential Software!

January 28th, 2009  |  858 views | Published in Apple, Comprehensive Review, Cool Stuff, Software

I acquired my Macbook Pro in November of 2008 and love it to death till this day. I am not sure how I can live without it. Now there are two parts to enjoying your laptop. 1st is the hardware, which the Macbook Pro surely doesn’t lack. 2nd is the software that goes along with the Mac. Apple’s smart marketing tactic by adding iLife to every Mac makes it just much more valuable to get a computer that comes with a full digital media suite. Read the rest of this entry »

Macworld 2009: Photo Review

January 8th, 2009  |  438 views | Published in Comprehensive Review, Technology, pictures

Today, me and some friends hit up the public transportation (BART) after school and went to San Francisco to the Moscone Center where Macworld was held at, as always. Even though it was two days after the start of the expo and also CES is starting up, there was still a hustle of people wanting to get free prizes, and all the website reviewers wanting to get the latest update on all things Mac. Me and a few friends were lucky enough to have registered very early, so we got free tickets to go inside the exhibit hall, where hundreds of third-party Mac vendors showcase their goodies, ranging from iPod cases, to server backup technology.

Here are just a few pictures I took during my 3 hour adventure in the huge Moscone North and South buildings. Click the jump for the pictures. Read the rest of this entry »

Macbook Pro Late 2008 – The Review

November 22nd, 2008  |  499 views | Published in Apple, Comprehensive Review

So last week, as most of you may know, I purchased a Macbook Pro.  These are the unibody Macbook Pros that are made by a brick process of stamping just one sheet of aluminum.  Anyways, I had a little more than a week to test this machine, and let me just tell you one thing: ITS FLYING FAST.  This notebook has to be the fastest computer I have ever used, even compared to my desktop computer (2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo).  Even though I only had it for a week, I have messed around with it so much that I already know the ins and outs of this machine.  Read the rest of this entry »

What’s a Windows Alternative to GarageBand?

August 19th, 2008  |  2,687 views | Published in Comprehensive Review, Windows Help

Questions like these show up from time to time on internet forums, and communities.

One blog reader asked me this question in my inbox today.  I can finally answer this question to its fullest extent.  Especially when Acoustica Mixcraft 4 just updated to their newest version, making this the sleekest beat making program on the Windows platform.  It’s so good that I think Microsoft should include this along with every new Windows release, alongside with their Movie Maker app.

Best Tech Podcasts Review: July 2008

July 2nd, 2008  |  1,575 views | Published in Comprehensive Review, Podcasts

For me, I really only need a computer and internet.  The reason?  I can download so many great episodes of web TV that it isn’t even necessary to need regular TV, besides local.  Today, I will be reviewing 4 web TV stations that I have been watching for some of them, over two years now.  After the days at TechTV at G4TV died, all the former employees moved onto a new concept of TV.  Viewing it on the Web.  Personally, I don’t like to sit in front of a computer screen to watch or listen to 1-2 hours of episodes.  Luckily, all these studios provide an iPod formatted media that allows me to listen or watch their episode at leisure.  The 4 studios I will be talking about today are Revision3, TWiT, Ziff-Davis, and ChannelFlip.

Product Review: Logitech G7 Wireless Laser Mouse

June 29th, 2008  |  913 views | Published in Comprehensive Review, Electronics, Gaming, Technology

After 3 months of usage, I am finally writing a review for this great product.  My previous mouse, a Logitech MX600, was not good enough for what I was doing, I needed more raw power and precision for my mouse.  The mouse styling is nice and sleek.  The curvature of the mouse is perfect for ergonomics and it feels like the mouse was molded for your hand.  When you have sweaty hands, this mouse seems to “wicks” the sweat away so that it always stays nice and dry while doing your intense gaming or work.
