View Comments and Pictures on Public Profiles in Facebook

Update 12/14/09:

New Codes that work, one for Facebook videos @ http://laatedaa.com/forums/index.php/topic,1018.0.html

and the Facebook picture code @ http://laatedaa.com/forums/index.php/topic,1016.0.html

EDIT ****Not working as of 7/31/09, RIP.

Today, a user who requested to be anonymous sent in a new code that allows one person to view the comments and pictures on public profiles in Facebook.

http://www.facebook.com/photo_comments.php?id=XXXXXX

Just replace the red X’s with the friendID you have in Facebook and you will have access to their pictures and comments if their privacy settings are set to “show to the public.”
Enjoy, and thanks again, for the anonymous user who sent this code in.

Let’s hope this lasts for a little longer than a few days.

Further discussion can be done in the [laatedaa?] Forums located here –> http://laatedaa.com/forums/index.php/topic,606.0.html

Additional Information:

Footnote from Patrick: This only opens up albums on a private facebook profile if at least one photo in the album has photo comments.

The album also needs to be set to “everyone” in order for it to work.

It doesn’t work on every profile, unless it meets the “requirements” that were just mentioned above.

Once a photo pops up, you will need to click on the photo and then click “next” in order to advance to the next photo.

Be sure to snag the album IDs and the pic IDs for future codes and/or fuskering.

Actually, once a photo opens up – you don’t necessarily have to scroll through each individual picture by continuously clicking “next”.

    Where it says:

    From the album:
    “Album Name” by John Doe

You can simply click on “Album Name” (Whatever the album is called) and it will bring you to a page with the complete album.

Code works fine, many thanks. Is there a way to make it work with people who have changed their ID into name-last name or something else? I can’t figure out how to get their ID number.

    Cheers

just “right-click” on their profile picture- copy and paste picture adress somewhere else : the number is their id.

hey guys thanks for posting this. its still working!!! i noticed it only works on some profiles its because it only shows pictures that have comments on them. pictures are in different albums so check each picture and view the ‘album’ to see more…

You got to stop posting the FB tricks. I discovered this one on my own after Photo Stalker stopped working. Was a decent fill-in for PS, but not great entirely as it all depended on whether there were comments or not.

Seems FB has been cracking down on all the loopholes lately. Funny, but annoying. I do hope people realize why they began the whole personalized name FB bit – and it wasn’t to copy MySpace…

seegugio nto working well at all, plus you need to have over 50 buddies or more to use it. and it’s limited after a couple of min you have to wait an hour to use it again. and it doesn’t show all the albums at all. like the other app.

I really believe it will get harder and harder to get these codes — if not impossible. Facebook was just hit with a major lawsuit in California for exactly this: allowing others to view pictures when the user ‘thinks’ they cannot be visible to anyone. I think that this lawsuit will play a major role in Facebook’s new photo-viewing policies.

It uses brute force attack approach! It works for me!!
It was written in spanish but you can always use google translator or babylon…
