Because I do not have the resources to buy or paint a wall for green screen purposes (as well as the lighting equipment to do so), I decided to film an in-game movie using the most versatile game, Garry’s Mod, a sandbox editor based on the Source Engine, allowing you to do anything you want. On the GarrysMod.org site, I found a lot of addons and plugins to go with the game. I found a few camera / in-game movie filming tools as well as some green / blue screens for chroma keying. I know for writng this post, I might be getting a lot of juice about it, but, I want to clarify a few things that Mac has up for game, and some of it’s advantages over Windows.
I know that I myself, maybe a Mac fanboy, but I know many Mac haters who hate the Apple strong knitted fanboyism. The Mac community is small, yet strong and very outspoken about things, which is one of the Mac hater’s pet peeves. The Mac community has strong groups such as forums like MacRumors, AppleInsider, 9to5Mac, etc. which all have tons of posts about anything Mac related. Have minor problem with your Mac that doesn’t require Apple support, ask it on one of these forums and expect a reply within minutes. If the issue is greater, you can either head into an Apple store for a Genius help, or call Apple for great customer support. No other computer company I know has such strong user ties where all users report issues, solutions, and how tos. Read the rest of this entry »
