It’s frustrating when your out and about and need to use the internet but either 1) don’t want to pay any money or 2) you want to try out some special software and crack some WEP keys. Maybe you heard on the internet somewhere that someone can crack WEP in around 10 minutes. Actually, this tutorial is crafted for educational purposes only, and not for hacking purposes, so please, don’t try it on networks you are not authorized to be on. There are many softwares that allow you to do this, but for this tutorial, I will be showing you guys how to crack it via the program Kismac. Read the rest of this entry »

So last week, as most of you may know, I purchased a Macbook Pro. These are the unibody Macbook Pros that are made by a brick process of stamping just one sheet of aluminum. Anyways, I had a little more than a week to test this machine, and let me just tell you one thing: ITS FLYING FAST. This notebook has to be the fastest computer I have ever used, even compared to my desktop computer (2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo). Even though I only had it for a week, I have messed around with it so much that I already know the ins and outs of this machine. Read the rest of this entry »

Although these are pretty old technologies that came out a few years ago, I recently stumbled across these audio technologies and was pretty amazed by them. I am a high school student that has a summer job, which means, I am pretty broke. Broke enough not to have a decent (or even have one at all) 5.1 surround sound system that sounds good. So I am stuck on these 2.1Stereo Logitech Z-2200 high quality speakers that sound really good still. I was searching on the internet for ways to virtualize surround sound to a 2 speaker configuration. Fortunately there are. Read the rest of this entry »

My family comes from a pretty unique background with a unique experience. They are part of what is known as “The Boat People” of Pulau Bidong, in Malaysia. They suffered through more than a year of refugee camp in Malaysia, where they lived in times of little food, and a stranded island feeling.
Here is an excerpt of the post I made about my family’s trip.
Although I never set foot on Pulau Bidong, my parents have experienced it all. They retell stories and recount memories of what it was like in Pulau Bidong during 1978-1979. Their stories are moving enough for me to tell it to the world. I see a huge interest in talking and connecting with other Pulau Bidong ex-Refugees when I googled “Pulau Bidong” so I decided to write this story of my parents to see if they can connect with their long lost neighbors of Bidong. Update 3/30/09: View private Myspace Photos here…

Update 2/22/09 New Comments Code!: http://www.laatedaa.com/2009/02/22/view-private-myspace-comments/
Please read carefully.
Myspace just launched their version 2.0, and with this, are loopholes. Although most people are still on 1.0, if a Myspace user ever tries testing out their 2.0 profile, it will switch to the new layout. The following codes only work for Profile 2.0, not 1.0. Myspace stated that there will not be any privacy settings for the whole profile, but for each “module”, so the users have to turn off separate things privately (eg. comments, friends, pictures). All of the modules, however, are left for “public” view by default, and not many people know about this, allowing their profile to be open to everyone (only their front page, and 50 comments). The new Macbook Pro’s that were announced by Apple on Oct. 14 finally hit the employee purchase program that Apple offers to their employees. It took about 3 weeks for both the Macbook and the Macbook Pro to show up, letting employees use their discount. I asked my contact at Apple to order one for me with their great discount (not telling how much), and I will give a thourough review of the Macbook Pro when it arrives. Read the rest of this entry »
