I bet many of you don’t know this but Firefox lowers quality of images shown on a webpage to allow quicker surfing.  To toggle this setting to make pictures “pop” with higher colors, just follow this trick.  This is very helpful in viewing perfect color pictures on Flickr or if you are a hardcore color profile fanatic and you want to get the most out of your colors.

Basically, this tip enables color management profiles so if you do not have any color management profiles enabled on your computer / monitor, don’t do the following or else your pictures may look even worse.

All of the following things you type are without quotes.

In Firefox, type in the URL bar, “about:config”

Then type in the filter “gfx.color_management.enabled”

Right click this line and hit “toggle”.  It should toggle from “false” to “true”

Restart your Firefox to see the difference!

Here is a Before / After Picture to show the differences.
