First Look - Tesla Model S: A $60k All Electric Sports Sedan

Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger made an announcement for Tesla Motors which giving off very good vibes in the car world. Probably even giving some car makers a little chill. Tesla Motors just introduced it’s new fully electric, five passenger sports sedan called the Model S. Model S will be selling for $60,000 and can go for 225 miles on a single full charge. Tesla says that it will produce these new Model S’ in a new manufacturing plant in Northern California (whoopie more pollution up here). Pictures shall be released by Tesla soon and hopefully more details about the car.
For those of you that do not know Tesla’s background. They are the company that made the Tesla Roadster that can handle o-60 in 3.9secs and 220 miles per charge. Their site claims a 256mpg and a 13,000rpm redline and best yet, FULLY electric. Only drawback is it’s $100,000 + price tag and a long waiting list. Jason Calacanis, on the other hand, got one early.
